Ron Howard is an Academy Award winning American filmmaker and actor mentioned and seen in a web search Easter egg in the opening scene of Scream (2022 film).
He is known for his early television work, in sitcoms like Happy Days (1974-1984), and later garnered acclaim for his directorial role in Apollo 13 (1995 film). He also is famous for his Oscar winning directorial work on the film, A Beautiful Mind (2001).
In the Scream universe, it is mentioned he portrayed the murdered Principal Arthur Himbry in the original Stab film (1997), derived from the eight-part Stab franchise.
The film was adapted from a Gale Weathers best-seller novel, The Woodsboro Murders (1997 True Crime book).

- In a real-life scenario, Howard would have been 43 when he filmed the Stab role as Arthur Himbry, 7 years younger than the actual Himbry who was murdered.
