The Roberts House is a fictional home in Woodsboro, California.
It is a two-story, moderate-sized house. Maureen Prescott's younger sister, Kate Roberts, resided there as a single parent to her 17 year old daughter, Jill Roberts.
They lived next door to Olivia Morris, whom was Jill's childhood friend growing up, and Ms. Morris, Olivia's mother.
History
It is unknown if the house was left to Kate after her and her sister, Maureen Prescott's parents passed away, or if she purchased the house. As the Woodsboro Massacre in 1996 was taking place, Kate was raising Jill as a toddler during the time. Jill came to know of her cousin, Sidney, through various news of her through her mother making her envious of her fame.
The Woodsboro Massacre Remake (2011)

To the left, Kate Roberts' house, and to the right, the Morris Residence.
Kirby drives up to the front of the house to pick Jill up for school asking her to promise she won't kill her due to Trevor Sheldon calling her last night.
After the murders of Jenny Randall and Marnie Cooper, Jill invites Sidney to stay with her and her mother. In a deleted scene of Scream 4, Sidney looks around and sees that Kate has pictures of her mother, Maureen Prescott. Rebecca Walters observes Sidney looking at pictures and asks who is that in the pictures. She replies, "Oh, my mom." Rebecca leaves for the hotel, and Jill comes to check on Sidney and once again thanks Jill for letting her stay with them.
Knowing the killer could possibly come to the house, officers rehearse. After the rehearsal, there is a knock on the door and they get ready for what could be the killer. They open the door to find Dewey Riley and also Kirby with Chinese food because she didn't want to be at her home by herself with the killer on the loose. Jill puts her arm around her neck and invites her in.
As Jill, Kirby and Kate eat, Sidney and Dewey catch up in conversation in their living room. Kirby remarks that Sidney is so pretty thinking that she must have scars everywhere from the massacres she survived. Kate remarks that her mother is her big sister and that she has scars too, and no one asks about her scars (presuming from losing her sister years prior). Jill clarifies to her mother that they mean knife scars, which Kate says "Oh" and shrugs it off.
Dewey and Sidney appear to have overheard a bit of their conversation in the kitchen, and resume their conversation. Sidney and Dewey share a brother-sister moment happy to see each other, and saying they have been through alot together. Dewey tells Sidney to lock up and close the door.
Upstairs, Jill comes out of the bathroom. Jill goes to her room just to be startled from Trevor having came through her bedroom window. They converse and despite Jill shunning his advances to protect her, Trevor ensures that he is there for her. Sidney knocks and comes in to notice she is talking to Trevor. Trevor says he hasn't read her book yet, but deems its nice to meet her in person before he leaves out of her window. Sidney remembers how Billy climbed to her bedroom window for her years ago saying that Jill reminded her of herself when she was a teenager. She tells Jill to lock her window before leaving.
Olivia's Death
Jill and Kirby are watching Shaun of the Dead (2004 film) in her room. They get a call from Ghostface on Jill's phone, While Jill has Olivia on Kirby's phone, Kirby answers Jill's and calls him bluff and looks in Jill's closet to find nothing there. Ghostface actually emerges out of Olivia's closet and brutally murders her. Sidney runs into Jill's room to see what the commotion is. Jill and Kirby watch in horror next door as she is being attacked. Sidney runs out of the house in attempt to help Olivia survive, but is unsuccessful.
Jill and Sidney converse in the kitchen and both apologize to each other for their losses in friends dying. Jill asks Sidney how she manages to handle all the attention from her fans. Sidney attempts to bond with her more and say that she focuses on the people she cares about rather than the negative attention others may give her. Jill goes back up to her room deeming that Sidney know where to find her cynically saying she will be in "her cell". Sidney has negative gut feelings after the conversation, but ignores them. Not too long after, as Deputies Anthony Perkins and Ross Hoss are seen watching over the residence, Deputy Hoss finds Jill's window open on a perimeter check. When the officers check in with each other, they are both murdered by Ghostface.
Kate's Death
As Sidney makes tea in the kitchen, she hears noises out in the backyard. She notices they are the chimes and takes them down. Moments later, they are put back up. Sidney notices and grabs a knife and slowly investigates to be startled by her aunt having came home from grocery shopping.
Sidney receives a call from the killer and is instructed to turn the TV on to see that Gale Weathers has been attacked. The killer says he intends to target her family as that will hurt her the most. She hangs the phone up and immediately runs to Jill's room to find she isn't there. Kate comes back and Sidney informs her that the killer wants her family first and they attempt to reach Jill only to get her voice message. They attempt to leave through the backyard, but notice the killer is there through a reflection from the chimes and make a hasty decision to leave through the front.
The killer appears as they open the door and they attempt to close the door, Sidney from the top and Kate from the bottom. They managed to slam the door closed, but the killer stabs Kate through the mail slot since she was still on the ground from barricading the door. Kate says before she dies to tell Jill she is sorry. Sidney sobs quietly grieving for her dying aunt as she take the cars keys and attempts to escape. Deputy Judy Hicks arrives through the backyard, finds Sidney distraught, and investigates. As she attempts to apologize to Sidney for her loss, Sidney has escaped to look for Jill.
Later, her backup arrives to investigate Kate's murder.
While overseeing the investigation at the house, Deputy Judy makes a call to her superior, Sheriff Dewey, and she explains what she knew of Kate’s murder. When he asks if there was anyone watching the residence, she informs him of Officers Hoss and Perkins' murders as they were found dead in their car a few blocks away with multiple stab wounds, and Sidney fled the scene making her a suspect.
