Requel: Terror Returns to Woodsboro, is a novel written by Gale Weathers, released sometime after the events of the 2022 Woodsboro Murders.
Despite saying she wouldn't write a book on the murders, instead preferring to allow Richie Kirsch and Amber Freeman to die in anonymity and write a book about Dewey Riley instead, Gale decided that someone would eventually write a book and decided to write it herself.
The writing of the book became a source of conflict between Gale Weathers and Samantha and Tara Carpenter, with Gale riddling the book with inaccuracies, even playing into the idea that Sam was the true killer.
Gale did not sell the movie rights for the book as these days it's about limited series' and not movies.
