Trivia
- Reynolds is the third out of four characters in the Scream franchise, whose role as law enforcement, despite his first name being unknown, starts with Officer and who is the only survivor of his Ghostface attack who shares this, preceded by:
- Officer Andrews and Officer Richards in Scream 2.
- Succeeded by Officer B. Westbrook, also in Season 3, who like the Officers in the second film, was also killed by Ghostface.
- Reynolds and Westbrook's cop duo pairing, despite not sharing talking scenes, is in it of itself a reference to the franchise of law enforcement being assigned to investigate and work during murders or placed as protection, with either one being attacked and the other isn't, or both are victims, and in some cases neither, preceded by:
- Sheriff Burke and Deputy Dewey Riley (Scream, albeit only latter is attacked)
- Officers Andrews and Richards (Scream 2, both killed)
- Detectives Mark Kincaid and J. Wallace (Scream 3, only former is attacked)
- Deputies Ross Hoss and Anthony Perkins (Scream 4, both killed)
- Sheriff Dewey Riley and Dep. Judy Hicks (Scream 4, both are attacked, survived)
- Det. Lorraine Brock and Sheriff Clark Hudson (Season 1, latter is killed)
- Deputies Dwayne and Stevens (Season 2, both are killed)
- Deputies Vinson and Farney (Scream (2022), neither is killed)
- Det. Wayne Bailey and FBI Special Agent Kirby Reed (Scream VI, only latter was attacked as former turns out to be one of the killers)
- Reynolds and Liv as cop parent and sole teenage child duo, would make them the third out of four in the franchise, preceded and later succeeded by:
- Clark Hudson and Kieran Wilcox (Season 1, albeit Kieran as the Lakewood Slasher is his father's killer, who was the Sheriff)
- Miguel and Gustavo Acosta (Season 2, new Sheriff and his son who moved out to Lakewood, similar to Reynolds and Liv in the third season moving to Atlanta and the different reasons in each)
- Judy and Wes Hicks (Scream (2022), albeit each are from Woodsboro, and are a mother-son duo, but similar in that Judy is a cop mom while Wes is her only son).
- Reynolds and his daughter's Liv's relationship, as a father-daughter duo is a reference to both:
- Neil Prescott and Sidney Prescott in the original Scream and Scream 3 (whose roles are similar in that each are attacked, albeit differently, and targeted by the Ghostface killers of each; each duo has working single fathers, despite each's differences in what happened to their spouse and occupations, raising their only teenage daughters, who become the Final Girl after ending the murder spree of which targeted them, despite for Liv it was partial targeting, due to how her own boyfriend, Marcus Elliot, is the main target).
- Wayne Bailey and Quinn Bailey in Scream VI (similarly, Reynolds and Bailey are cops, while Wayne is a detective, raising their only sole teenage daughters following family trauma; Quinn was a college freshman attending Blackmore University in New York City while Liv was a senior at Weaver High School in Atlanta, each raising their young daughters during Halloween Ghostface murders in each's city five years apart & unlike the Baileys being Ghostface killers, the Reynolds' weren't)
- Wayne and Quinn being Ghostface killers (albeit alongside Wayne's last son, Ethan, who is Quinn's younger brother) is a reference to Neil and Sidney in that Neil was going to be killed but framed the mastermind in the first film by Ghostface killers, Sidney's ex boyfriend Billy Loomis and his accomplice, her former friend, Stu Macher, whereas Sidney herself was set up to be like her father in the original, framed by arguably the actual mastermind of the first two films events, and Billy's mentor, Roman Bridger, for the murders in the third.
- Like Sidney, Reynolds's daughter Liv was set to be framed by Liv's former friend and the actual Ghostface killer in their murders, Beth. Reynolds isn't targeted or intended to be framed like Neil in the original, but likewise was going to be killed due to his association with his daughter's boyfriend who was the actual main target, while his daughter was partially targeted, much like the Prescott's.
