Marriage to Sidney Prescott[]

It is unknown whether Mark had already met Sidney Prescott by the time of the Second Woodsboro Murders in 2011. The pair eventually married and moved to Pine Grove, Indiana, going on to have three daughters between an unknown year and 2022 just as the Third Woodsboro Murders occurred.

The Third Woodsboro Murders (2022)[]

During a conversation with Sidney, where Dewey Riley warns her about a new Ghostface killer that starts targeting residents of Woodsboro in 2022 and asks her not to come back under any circumstances, Dewey asks how Mark is going. Sidney initially stays with Mark and their children in their new hometown.

However, after she learns that Dewey is murdered by Ghostface, Sidney returns to Woodsboro alone to avenge him and stop the new killer, with Mark staying with their kids.

The New York Murders (2023)[]

During the murders, it’s implied that Gale reached out to Mark and Sidney in a phone call about the attacks in New York City. They informed Gale that they were going into hiding with their children.

Trivia[]

  • It was originally implied that Sidney's husband was Mark Kincaid (who was indirectly mentioned in Scream (2022) and Scream VI). This was also confirmed by Radio Silence. However, due to the studio's failed talks with Patrick Dempsey to return in Scream 7, the decision was made to replace Kincaid with a new character (Mark Evans), with the role going to Joel McHale.
  • Mark shares the same surname as Maureen Evans from Scream 2, the second victim in the Windsor College Murders, of whose own character's name's nomenclature is similar to hers, as both share the same initials of each's first and last name (M.E).
