Season 3[]

Monday, October 29th, 2018[]

Both Marcus and Liv have unofficially met due to each sharing the same homeroom teacher, Mrs. Pell, as senior students at Weaver High School, which Liv had transferred to approximately a week prior from an undisclosed location in Georgia and to Atlanta alongside her single police officer father (first name unknown), Reynolds. Then, per her father's insistence to get accommodated, she met 16-year old Avery Collins, who was, prior to his death, the quarterback for the Weaver Reapers, the school's football team, whom she would sign up to become a cheerleader on the school's extracurricular sports (who reveals later on she never really liked, only due to her father) just 3 days prior.

Regardless, due to Liv's easy outgoing personality, despite her deep insecurities and own mental instabilities (due to having moved after catching her unnamed mother cheating on her father, noted as worrisome by her own father to Marcus due to how she reacted), was branded "the IT girl" by Marcus due to her popularity as a new student. Each struck up a one-sided conversation and subliminal flirtation in the lunchroom of the school where Liv was sat with Avery and Marcus's friend, Hawkins, much to the displeasure of Avery, who was trying to get Liv to wear his jersey to the game as his form of objectification and "owning" Liv, which she denied politely, and who tried to get Marcus to convince Liv, which Marcus shrugged off, but who came to defend Liv later on.

The same evening, in the school's seemingly empty parking garage after school, Marcus was then being taunted by Ghostface, which led to the killer to intentionally set off Avery's car and to lure Marcus towards it, as if to make him look guilty. Both teammates faced off and confronted one another about this, as Liv was still walking upstairs from the parking garage floor, who managed to witness Avery's passive racist comments to Marcus about not being able to afford his own car and Marcus then pinning Avery against his car for believing him to be threatening him and making a comment on Liv. Right then, Mrs. Pell arrives and asks to be informed about the situation, which unfairly targets Marcus as a Black student and football star, and whose given detention as a result of Avery's lie of Marcus having started it. Liv tries and defend Marcus before also given detention by Pell, and who after she leaves, Liv officially denounces Avery by throwing his football jersey she had in her backpack on the ground and leaving to join Marcus.

Upon arriving to the library, each flirted with one another and were exchanging numbers before Marcus was pulled away, unbeknownst until later to Liv or the detention crew, by Ghostface to the school's male locker room, much to her confusion. Liv, alongside her former classmates and detention crewmates Amir Ayoub, Kym, Manny, and Beth, would then find Marcus knocked out and awaited his awakening as Marcus revealed to them about his confrontation with Ghostface, much to their confusion. It wouldn't be long, however, when the same night back at Liv and her dad's home in Atlanta, as Liv headed alone to start her shower in her bedroom bathroom, that she was also briefly appeared and startled by Ghostface through the window, causing Liv to believe Marcus and who afterwards, headed towards Marcus's apartment in College Park. There she would then informally meet with Marcus's older half-brother, Jamal Elliot, who informed her of Marcus's absence and giving her off-screen exposition of "Marcus" (unaware that Marcus presumed Deion's name and identity, whose own real name and identity was presumed to be deceased), unaware she was talking to the Ghostface mastermind and who knew of the secret, out of costume, prior to his reveal and being suspected.

At a night party at the Old Metro Station in an abandoned warehouse turned silent disco, Marcus and Liv, alongside the others from detention (including a drug dealer and former student/dropout, Shane, who had crashed detention just after Marcus had left) attended the Halloween-themed party hosted by Shane (who was using the alias Mr. Fade), which saw everyone attending wearing the Father Death costume, much to Marcus's suspicion; who had been called for the first time just moments earlier while he was alone working out at the weight room at Weaver after hours, and who had knocked down Amir Ayoub who had seen him after hanging up the call, who was wearing the costume, but wasn't the one messing with him, much to Marcus's confusion and who was led to the party when he asked Amir about the costumes. Once inside, Marcus had to deal with Ghostface taunting him as well as Liv breaking things off and humiliating Avery prior to his death. After Marcus had gathered and talked to the detention crew per the killer's demand about his tragedy in private outside the party, the crew disconvened and returned to the party, when upon doing so, led to the party officially dying down after Avery was killed by Ghostface and impaled. This left the crew to convene afterwards (excluding Shane), out of-costume and in their normal clothes, at Beth's tattoo shop in Atlanta, where Beth named them The Deadfast Club and each were teamed after receiving a chain-text of Ghostface, unofficially.

Throughout the next 5 days that followed, Marcus and Liv's relationship would be tested before they officially dated just a day before the official showdown, making their relationship occur within less than a week.

August 2019[]

About 9-10 months after surviving Ghostface, as well as the reveal of it having been Marcus's half-brother Jamal and both Liv and Marcus's supposed friend and goth Beth, both Marcus and Liv are shown officially together for 10 months and at San Diego, California, at a beach were Marcus and Liv are getting ready to settle in at and start school. Alongside Marcus's mom, Sherry Elliot, the couple are looking forward to putting the past behind them and as they share a moment alone and embrace for a kiss, Marcus is called by an unknown number on his new Samsung phone (due to his previous phone, an iPhone, being destroyed after being shot through it, by the second revealed Ghostface, Beth) and who each look on it looming before Marcus hangs up and they each kiss and hug as they walk off the beach and the sun sets.
