Marco Beltrami is the film composer who made the score for all four Scream films. Wes Craven's assistant Julie Plec had requested input on composers who were "new", "fresh", and "wonderful". Many people suggested Beltrami. She contacted Beltrami and asked for samples of his work, and when the samples were presented to Craven, he liked what he heard and hired Beltrami. The film's theme, which was composed by Beltrami, is possibly one of the most famous themes in film history.
