Los Angeles is a major city in California, United States. It is the second most populous city in the country, only being behind New York City.
The city was the main setting for Scream 3 (2000 film) and its events, referred to as the Hollywood Murders, whey they specifically happened in the city's neighborhood of Hollywood.
History[]
Maureen Prescott's Acting Career[]
At some point in 1969, with dreams of becoming a successful actress, Maureen Roberts relocated from her birthplace of Woodsboro to the major city without her family's knowledge. She soon found work at Sunrise Studios and went under the stage name of Rina Reynolds for the film company.
Sometime during this relocation, she met horror movie producer, John Milton in his heyday and attended one of his parties at his estate. There at the party, she was introduced to men Milton claimed would help her career in return for sexual favors. She would subsequently be gang-raped by Milton and these men, from which as a result, she would get pregnant and give birth to a son in 1970, whom she later gave up for adoption.
In 1971, after being unable to make a big break in her career and eventually being completely blacklisted for trying to expose what happened to her, Maureen made the decision to relocate from Los Angeles back to Woodsboro.
