Eleonora "Lele" Pons is an American and Venezuelan Internet personality, actress and singer, most notable for her six-second video loops on the video-sharing service Vine (2013-2017); who before the platform's closure, was the most followed woman on the app and the third most followed Viner with 11.5 million followers. As a YouTuber, she posts comedy sketches, and who as of August 2023, has accumulated 18 million subscribers.
Lele plays the small role of Leah, the girl in the movie "Murderville" who gets killed by her friend Becca in the second season of the television adaptation of Scream. She is a New York Times Best Selling author with her book, Lele Pons - Before I Was Rich and Famous picked up by Amazon Kindle.
Biography[]
Pons was born in Caracas, Venezuela, and moved to the United States at age five. Since immigrating to the United States, Pons has resided in Miami, Florida. Pons graduated from Miami Country Day High School in 2015 and she moved from Miami to Los Angeles. At school, she was bullied by her classmates for her accent, nose, etc. She wrote a book about it called "Surviving High school" which was published April 2016.
Pons received her first phone at age 15, and was soon introduced to Vine by one of her friends, stating "I started with my friends and I started becoming good. At first it was just being really creative—it wasn't even funny stuff. Pons would become one of the app's most prominent users, becoming the first user to surpass 1 billion video loops. As of September 1, 2015, Pons' account remains the most looped of all time with over 6.7 billion loops. In addition, Pons' account ranks within the top five in terms of followers, with over 10.6 million as of March 14, 2016. Pons is credited as being a creator of the phrase "Do It For The Vine".
Pons' vines have been met with positive reception; in 2014, she earned a Teen Choice Awards nomination for "Choice Viner" as well as a Streamy Awards nomination for "Viner of the Year," and a subsequent Shorty Awards nomination for Vine Star of the Year in 2015. Additionally, Aol.com included Pons on their list of the "10 most entertaining Latino stars on Vine.
In 2016, she was invited to join Joey Graceffa's YouTube Red series, "Escape the Night", where she played the character of The Hustler, which soon became a fan favorite within the fandom. In the same year, Pons appeared in the second season premiere of the American horror TV show Scream, also appearing in the season premiere episode of Scream After Dark.

- Albeit unstated if the fictional film Murderville was inspired or based on the Lakewood Murders from Season 1, Lele's role as Leah, who would be killed after trying to look for her tabby cat, Butterscotch, shares similarities to Bella Thorne as Nina Patterson from "Pilot", with various differences, mainly of their pets (Nina had a Pomeranian dog, Sage) and the build up of their deaths (as Nina was killed outside, while Leah was killed inside).

- Lele becomes the second singer from the cast of Season 2, the first being Kiana Lede as Zoe Vaughn. In the TV series, she is the fifth singer overall, preceded by Tyga as Jamal Elliot, Mary J. Blige as Sherry Elliot, and Big Boi as B. Westbrook, all of who appeared in Season 3.
- Despite Lele having only released official music in 2018, nearly two years after her minor cameo role in Season 2.
