Girl In Bathroom is a resident of Woodsboro, California who appears in a cameo role in Scream (1996 film). She is a senior at Woodsboro High.
In the aftermath of Casey Becker and Steven Orth's brutal murders, she converses with a close friend, who shares a theory about Sidney Prescott.
One of the many unnamed residents of Woodsboro, her cameo role in the original film has aroused some speculation and fan theories, despite its minimality. Her friend was a fan of Ricki Lake (1993—2004), which she found pathetic.
She was portrayed by Nancy Anne Ridder.
Biography[]
Background[]
She was born sometime in August 1979. As a Class of 1997 graduate, her classmates are Randy Meeks, Judy Hicks and Sidney Prescott.
As a high school senior, many fans incorrectly speculated she was Angie Crick, who later became stage actress "Angelina Tyler" who appears in Scream 3 (2000 film). Angie, in an old draft and filmed throughout most of production, was intended to be an aspiring young starlet who later garnered the recast role of Sidney Prescott in Stab 3: Return to Woodsboro that secretly idolized Sidney. She was in Sidney's English class (alongside Casey).
However, it is unlikely to be this character as Scream has never done an official recasting, and the Angie Crick motivation and storyline was later given to Judy Hicks and Jill Roberts in Scream 4 (2011 film).
The Woodsboro Murders (1996)[]
During the murders, she talked with her friend in the bathroom of Woodsboro High School. Her friend suggested Sidney was a "slut just like her mother". Unbeknownst to them, Sidney was hiding in a bathroom stall, having heard every word.
Her friend then suggested Sidney committed the murders of Casey Becker and Steven Orth. She expressed skepticism, as Sidney already had her own "bubble butt boyfriend, Billy". Her friend suggested that she possibly realized "teen suicide is out this year, and homicide is a much healthier, therapeutic expression". She asked where she "gets this shit", and her friend replies, "Ricki Lake". She responds, "You are pathetic!" before they walk out.
