"Village of the Damned" is the eighth episode of Season 2 of the television series Scream. It is the eighteenth episode of the show overall and it aired on July 19th, 2016.

Plot

Emma suspects the killer is Eli and tries to find out at the 100th year anniversary of the Lakewood Winter Carnival. Audrey's secret gets exposed. Zoe and Noah consider taking their relationship to the next level. Maggie and Acosta maintain their secret hidden, even though Acosta suspects his son is the murderer.

  • The title of the episode is a homage to the 1960 science fiction horror film Village of the Damned, which was directed by Wolf Rilla. The film was adapted from the 1957 novel The Midwich Cuckoos by John Wyndham.
  • This episode was watched live 0.36 by million people.
  • Kieran Wilcox was kidnapped (off-screen) by the new killer.
    • He was also dressed up as the killer and almost shot by Emma before his mask was taken off.
    • In When a Stranger Calls, when Kieran is revealed as a killer, it was highlighted that this scene was a ruse. The main goal of the ruse was to convince Emma and the others that he was a victim.
