Drew Blythe Barrymore is an actress who portrays Casey Becker in Scream (1996 film) and voices the role of Arthur Himbry's unseen successor, Principal (unknown name) of Woodsboro High in Scream (2022 film). She also voices a partygoer. This technically makes Barrymore the first Scream actor to portray two different identifiable characters.

She was originally cast as Sidney Prescott in Scream (1996), but Drew decided that she wanted the role of Casey instead. The reason behind it was that if she was to be murdered in the film, it would give the audience the impression that anything can happen since she was a famous actress and people would expect her to be the star.

This was also the reason why she appeared in front of all the other characters on the promotional movie poster. She was a very well known actress when cast in Scream and at the time that the film was released, it was very rare to cast well known actors in horror movies and Drew's presence in the film allowed for the rest of the sequels and other horror movies to attract well known actors. In order to make her cry, Wes Craven told Drew about animal cruelty, Drew being an animal lover started crying.

Since 2020, Drew has been the host of her own talk show, The Drew Barrymore Show.
