Deputy Clay is a cameo character and corpse appearing in Scream 5 (2022 film). He is the fourth victim of 2022 Woodsboro Legacy Killings. His death is off-screen, the first ever off-screen massacre victim since Maureen Prescott.
As a Deputy, Clay was assigned to protect Tara Carpenter at a private floor inside Woodsboro General Hospital.

2022 Attacks
When Sheriff Judy Hicks calls units to her house following a threatening Ghostface call, Deputy Vinson leaves Deputy Clay to guard Tara Carpenter alone on a private floor at Woodsboro General Hospital.
Off-screen: Amber attack Clay. After a brief struggle, which is apparent as chair lays overturned along with some files on the floor, slash his throat.
Tara Carpenter witnesses the aftermath of this. It appears Clay drowned in his blood on the floor. She attempts to locate his gun but finds that it is missing.
