Dawnie (surname unknown) is a minor cameo character in Scream 2 (1997 film). She was a college student who attended Windsor College in Ohio.

In the film, she stops by the Omega Beta Zeta Sorority house before heading back to the mixer party. She answered a call from Ghostface (Nancy Loomis) and gave it to Cici Cooper, believing the caller was Cici's boyfriend, Ted. 

She's not seen again after leaving for the mixer, and despite going to the same party as Sidney Prescott, Hallie McDaniel, Mickey Altieri, Randy Meeks and Derek Feldman, she's not seen leaving the party to go back across the street or being interviewed by the police, meaning it's possible she didn't go straight to the party after all.

She was portrayed by Marisol Nichols.

• She was described as "a young girl, sweet, pre-occupied" in the script.
• She is the first named character in the Scream franchise to be of Latin heritage. This is followed by Tara Carpenter in Scream (2022 film). Tara's half-sister, Samantha Carpenter is played by Mexican-American actress, Melissa Barrera. On the TV series, Jake Fitzgerald is shown to know a little Spanish, but it's unknown if one of his parents has Latin or Spanish roots. The first official Latinos of the TV series are the Acostas from Season 2. Also in Season 3, Shane is played by Tyler Posey, who has Mexican roots.
• Dawnie is in a deleted scene of Scream 2 with Cici Cooper when Cici tells Murphy and Lois she intend on recruiting Sidney Prescott to the Omega Beta Zeta sorority, before being told to back off and Lois with Murphy approach Sidney and her friends as they're watching Gale Weathers. You can catch her if you pause at the right moments.
