David Arquette is an actor, former professional wrestler, fashion designer, director and producer. He portrayed the deuteragonist role of Dewey Riley in the first five Scream films (1996-2022), and set to reappear in Scream 7 (2026).[1]

- David Arquette was married to co-star Courteney Cox. They met on the set of Scream, began dating during production of Scream 2 and had arrived back from their honeymoon just in time for filming of Scream 3. They separated in 2010 shortly after filming of Scream 4 had ended.
- He and Courteney made their own motion film production company named Coquette Productions.
- David Arquette's character Dewey is specified as being 25 years old, approximately 7 years older than most other lead characters who are in high school. However, Arquette is roughly the same age as most of his costars and is actually slightly younger than Skeet Ulrich, Matthew Lillard and Jamie Kennedy, who all portray themselves as high school students.
- David also reprised his role as Dewey in Creed's "What If" music video, timed to coincide with the release of Scream 3.
- David is a certified Bob Ross painting technique instructor.
- In between filming of Scream (2022), he taught painting to several crew members.
- In 2004 he and his ex-wife Courteney Cox, now have a real-life daughter named Coco Arquette.
- In 2021, David acquired the rights to Bozo the Clown and plans to revive the character.
- David is the third legacy cast member of the Scream franchise and the third of the Original Trio and the most recent, who is set to reprise his role as Dewey in Scream 7, despite his character's death. He is then preceded by both Scott Foley (Roman) and Matthew Lillard (Stu), his co-stars who portrayed the Ghostface killers, with Foley in Scream 3 and Lillard in Scream (1996).
