Trivia[]
- Brianne Tju was the first actress in the entire franchise to be a teen playing a teen, at 16 and being born in 1998, roughly being the same age as her character.
- In actuality, the first actress to be a teenager and portray one in the franchise was Heather Matarazzo, who played Martha Meeks, but who's character's official date of birth hasn't been given (who's speculated to have been 17-18 during the events of Scream 3).
- Matarazzo was born in 1982 and would have been 17 during filming, but Martha could still have been born in 1983.
- She's one of the few actors in the franchise to have been a teenager playing a teen while filming her role.
- The first being Heather Matarazzo, followed by Emma Roberts as Jill Roberts in Scream 4, but she was 19 while Jill was 17.
- Brianne was the youngest cast member in the TV series.
- Bella Thorne was 18 in Season 1, while her character Nina Patterson was 17, but Throne was born on October 8th, 1997, so Nina was likely a few months younger than Thorne.
- Kiana Ledé, who portrayed Zoe Vaughn in Season 2, was 18 while Zoe was about 16 or 17.
- Mary Katherine Duhon, who played Haley Myers in Season 2, was 19, Haley's age was never stated but she was likely 17.
- Jenna Ortega, who played Tara Carpenter was 17 when filming for the fifth film started but turned 18 a few days later.
- However, Tara is said to have been 18 about to be 19 in the 5th film, which was originally set in 2021, before sixth film changed year to 2022 (there's some conflict regarding the Carpenter's sisters actual ages: See Continuity Errors; due to retroactive continuity in sixth film, made her character be 19 turning 20 instead) which means Jenna Ortega may be a few weeks younger than Tara.
- Jack Champion who played Ethan Landry was 17 when filming started for the sixth film, but is supposed to be the same ages as the other main characters who would have been 19.
- At 16, Brianne would be the first and only youngest actor, thus far, to have filmed as her age, in the entire franchise, followed by;
- Jack Champion (17 in filming, despite character being 18).
- Jenna Ortega (17, then 18, despite character being 19 turning 20).
- Heather Matarazzo (17, although character stated to be 17-18).
- Bella Thorne (18, despite character being 17).
- Kiana Lede (18, despite character being 16-17).
- Emma Roberts (19, despite character being 17).
- Mary Katherine Duhon (19, despite character likely being 17).
