Billy Loomis is a fictional version of the original Ghostface serial killer mastermind, Billy Loomis, in the Scream-universe "real-life" Woodsboro Murders which began in 1995 with the murder of Maureen Prescott and largely occurred in 1996.
Billy Loomis was portrayed by famous actor, Luke Wilson. Wilson's role was iconic as the original villain of the Stab film franchise, a fictional film series set in the Scream film series universe. His role was deeply admired by Stab serial killer fanatics, Richie Kirsch and Amber Freeman.
His scene is a cameo in Scream 2 (1997 film) and is mentioned by Tara Carpenter in the fifth instalment, Scream (2022 film).
History[]
Stab (1997 film)[]

Billy and Sidney (Tori Spelling) in a Stab (1997) scene on a TV screen, observed by Dewey Riley and Randy Meeks (in the 1997 film Scream 2).
His scene confronting "Sidney" in the hallway is shown. He is frustrated with his girlfriend, asking, "Why won't you let me touch you?"
Sidney explains the PTSD related to her mother's murder, but Billy ignorantly compares it to his own mother abandoning him. Sidney is offended by this, as a murder is incomparable to child abandonment.
Scream 2 (1997 film)[]
Maureen Evans and Phil Stevens' murder on the opening night for Stab sparked controversy, many assuming it was a publicity stunt.
Scream 4 (2011 film)[]
The original Stab movie featuring Billy was shown at the 2011 Third Annual Stab-A-Thon, hosted by Woodsboro Cinema Club President, Charlie Walker and VP, Robbie Mercer. Gale Weathers' attack occurred during the death scene of Casey Becker, meaning Wilson's appearance after the opening was likely unseen by the partygoers, after everyone had to evacuate.

Tara Carpenter mentions Luke Wilson by name as the actor who portrayed the "real-life" Billy Loomis. He is also seen on a Quick Search result as the actor to portray the real life Billy Loomis.
Later, serial killers Richie Kirsch and Amber Freeman reveal their motive is inspired by bringing back the original Ghostface himself, portrayed by Luke Wilson.
However, because Stab is a whodunit franchise and Billy is dead, the next best thing is his biological daughter, Samantha Carpenter.
