Bianca Burnette is a minor character who appears in Scream 3 (2000 film). She is an archivist for actors at Sunrise Studios in Los Angeles, California.

Amid the Hollywood Murders, Gale Weathers and Jennifer Jolie request for her help to gain intel on Maureen Prescott's past.

Bianca is a cynical, chain-smoking employee at Sunrise. She has a professional acting career past of her own. She bitterly remembers the time she was close to fame and fortune.

She was played by Carrie Fisher.

Biography

Background

Bianca auditioned for the role of Princess Leia in Star Wars (1977 film), but lost to Carrie Fisher because Fisher "slept" with writer and director George Lucas.

Bitter, she spent the next two decades telling people the story because she looks so much like Fisher. She would, at some point, end up working in the archives department for Sunrise Studios because of her great respect for unknown actors.

The Hollywood Murders (2000)

Gale Weathers and Jennifer Jolie follow the trail of photos of Maureen Prescott to the archive room at Sunrise Studios, where they were roadblocked by the cynical Bianca Burnette.

Bianca declined Gale's poor bribe of fifty dollars, but accepted Jennifer's expensive ring, estimated at two grand. She tracks down the resume of Maureen's stage name, Rina Reynolds, filling in a missing piece of the puzzle for them. This leads the two Gales to horror film producer, John Milton.

Bianca has been around the studio for some time, a possible hint is when Jennifer mocks Maureen's stage name. Bianca then reveals to Gale Jennifer's real name, which is Judy Jurgenstern, much to Jennifer's personal embarrassment.

• She was described as "BIANCA BURNETTE, an aging, former actress in her late forties, early fifties" in the script.
• Carrie Fisher improvised some of her own lines.
• After Jennifer bribed Bianca, she was wearing the ring when she finds Maureen's file.
• Carrie Fisher, who played Bianca, would later co-star with Scream actress Drew Barrymore in Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle.
• In reality, Carrie Fisher did portray Princess Leia in Star Wars. The joke surrounding this was intended as an easter egg to Fisher. Scream actor W. Earl Brown and Scream 2 actor Timothy Olyphant would later both join the said franchise by appearing in the second season of the spin-off television series The Mandalorian.
